Step-by-Step Instructions
  1. Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C) and grease a 12-inch ovenproof skillet or pizza pan with unsalted butter or oil.
  2. In a large mixing bowl, combine thawed and dried frozen shredded hash browns with melted butter, salt, and black pepper.
  3. Press the hash brown mixture into your prepared pan, creating a thick, even layer resembling a pizza crust.
  4. Bake the crust for 20–25 minutes or until golden brown and crispy.
  5. Remove the crust and layer with shredded cheddar cheese, sausage or bacon, bell peppers, and green onions.
  6. Make shallow depressions in the toppings to create wells for the eggs.
  7. Crack an egg into each well and sprinkle with paprika, salt, and pepper.
  8. Return to the oven for 10–12 minutes, until egg whites are fully set.
  9. Cool for a few minutes before slicing and serving warm.
