Step-by-Step Instructions
  1. In a large mixing bowl, whisk together ½ cup of melted butter, 1 cup of brown sugar, ½ cup of pure maple syrup, and 1 teaspoon of maple extract until smooth and creamy.
  2. In a separate bowl, whisk together 2 cups of all-purpose flour, 1 teaspoon of ground cinnamon, ½ teaspoon of baking soda, and ¼ teaspoon of salt.
  3. Gradually add the dry mixture to the wet ingredients, stirring gently until a soft dough forms.
  4. While the dough is chilling, preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  5. Using a cookie scoop or your hands, portion out 1.5-ounce balls of dough and place them on the prepared baking sheet.
  6. Slide the baking sheet into the preheated oven and bake for 10 to 12 minutes.
  7. Once baked, remove the cookies from the oven and let them rest on the baking sheet for 5 minutes.
