Step-by-Step Instructions
  1. Start by rinsing the fresh shrimp under cold water to remove any residue. Pat them dry with paper towels.
  2. In a medium-sized bowl, combine honey, minced garlic, soy sauce, and olive oil. Whisk until smooth. Stir in cornstarch if desired.
  3. Heat a large skillet over medium-high heat with a drizzle of olive oil. Once shimmering, add the shrimp in a single layer.
  4. Sprinkle salt and pepper over the shrimp. Cook for 2-3 minutes, or until they turn pink and opaque.
  5. Pour the honey garlic sauce over the shrimp and toss gently to coat.
  6. Reduce heat to low and let the shrimp simmer in the sauce for about 3-5 minutes to thicken the sauce.
  7. Remove from heat, garnish with green onions and sesame seeds, and serve warm over jasmine rice or with steamed vegetables.
