Method

Step-by-Step Instructions
  1. Heat medium-high in a large skillet and crumble in 1 pound of lean ground beef. Sprinkle with 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder, kosher salt, and freshly ground black pepper. Add 1/3 cup thinly sliced green onions and 2 tablespoons low sodium soy sauce. Cook for 7-10 minutes until browned and cooked. Transfer mixture to a plate, keeping juices in the skillet.
  2. In the same skillet, warm 1 tablespoon avocado oil over medium heat. Add 1 pound shredded brussels sprouts, season with salt and pepper. Sauté for 5-7 minutes until tender and caramelized, seeking a golden brown color.
  3. Return the cooked ground beef to the skillet with the sautéed brussels sprouts. Pour in 1/2 cup sweet chili sauce and juice of 1/2 lime. Stir, cook for another 2-3 minutes until heated through.
  4. Serve the mixture onto plates, sprinkling sesame seeds on top for added crunch. Best enjoyed immediately.
