  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and prepare a 9-inch pie dish.
  2. Melt 1/2 cup of unsalted butter, then whisk in 1 large egg, 1 cup light brown sugar, and 2 teaspoons vanilla extract until smooth.
