Step-by-Step Instructions
  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and prepare your baking dish by greasing it.
  2. In a large skillet over medium-high heat, sauté the sliced sausage for 5–7 minutes until browned.
  3. Melt butter in the same skillet and sauté the diced onion for 3–4 minutes until soft and translucent.
  4. Add minced garlic and sauté for another 30 seconds, being careful not to burn it.
  5. Mix in softened cream cheese, whisking until combined, then gradually add heavy whipping cream, cooking for 3–5 minutes until thickened.
  6. Incorporate shredded cheddar cheese, stirring until melted and smooth. Season with salt and pepper.
  7. Combine steamed cauliflower, broccoli, and sautéed sausage in a large bowl. Pour the cheese sauce over and mix.
  8. Transfer the mixture to the prepared baking dish and bake for 15–20 minutes until bubbly and golden brown.
