  • 3 cloves Garlic Use fresh garlic for best results.
  • 1 tablespoon Lemon Zest
  • 1 tablespoon Lemon Juice
  • 1/2 cup Dry White Wine Use chicken broth for alcohol-free.
  • 1 tablespoon Dijon Mustard Yellow mustard works in a pinch.
  • 1/4 cup Fresh Herbs Such as rosemary or thyme.
For Seasoning
  • 1 teaspoon Salt Season generously.
  • 1 teaspoon Black Pepper Season generously.

Method
 

Step-by-Step Instructions
  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. Pat your chicken dry, season with salt and black pepper.
  3. Sear the chicken in an oven-safe skillet for 5–6 minutes on skin-side down, then flip and sear for 2 minutes.
  4. Sauté shallots for about 2 minutes, then add minced garlic and cook for another minute.
  5. Stir in lemon zest, lemon juice, dry white wine, Dijon mustard, and fresh herbs, simmer for 2 minutes.
  6. Return the seared chicken to the skillet, spoon the sauce over it.
  7. Roast in the oven for 18–20 minutes until chicken reaches 165°F (75°C).
  8. Let the chicken rest for a few minutes, garnish with lemon slices and herbs before serving.
