- Slice the flank steak thinly against the grain into bite-sized strips. In a mixing bowl, combine the sliced beef with soy sauce, peanut oil, and cornstarch. Allow to marinate for about 10 minutes.
- Combine chicken stock, Shaoxing wine, both types of soy sauce, and brown sugar in a separate bowl. Whisk until smooth.
- In a skillet, bring 1/4 cup of water to a boil, add broccoli, and steam for about 1 minute.
- Sear the marinated beef in the same skillet over medium-high heat until browned.
- Stir in minced garlic and ginger, cooking for about 30 seconds.
- Return the broccoli and pour in the sauce. Stir over medium-high heat until the sauce thickens.
