Step-by-Step Instructions
  1. Finely slice the fresh green cabbage into thin strips and mince the ginger.
  2. In a large pan, heat sesame oil over medium heat for about 1 minute. Add minced ginger (and garlic, if using) and sauté for 30 seconds to 1 minute.
  3. Add the sliced cabbage to the pan and stir-fry for 4 to 5 minutes until the cabbage is bright green and tender-crisp.
  4. Pour in soy sauce and rice vinegar, stirring well, and cook for another 1 to 2 minutes.
  5. Remove from heat, add honey or sugar if desired, and toss well. Serve warm, garnished with sesame seeds if desired.
