Method
 

Preparation Steps
  1. Pound chicken breasts to an even ½-inch thickness and season both sides with salt and pepper.
  2. Set up three shallow bowls: one with flour, one with whisked eggs and Dijon mustard, and one with crushed pretzels, garlic powder, and paprika.
  3. Dredge each chicken breast in flour, dip in egg mixture, and coat with crushed pretzel mixture.
  4. Choose to bake at 400°F (200°C) or pan-fry in a skillet with oil.
  5. If baking, brush chicken with olive oil or melted butter and bake for 20-25 minutes.
  6. If frying, cook chicken for about 5-6 minutes on each side.
  7. To make the sauce, melt butter in a saucepan, whisk in flour, gradually add milk, and stir in Dijon mustard and cheddar cheese until smooth.
  8. Serve chicken with cheddar mustard sauce and garnish with parsley.
