Method

Step‑By‑Step Instructions
  1. Preheat your grill to medium-high heat, approximately 375°F to 400°F. Lightly oil the grates to prevent sticking.
  2. In a large mixing bowl, combine ground turkey, finely chopped onion, cilantro, minced garlic, and chopped jalapeño. Add cumin, paprika, lime juice, cheddar cheese, salt, and pepper. Stir gently until well combined.
  3. Divide the turkey mixture into six equal portions and shape them into flat patties, slightly larger than the buns with a small indentation in the center.
  4. Place the patties on the grill and cook for 5-6 minutes on one side. Flip and grill the other side for another 5-6 minutes until they reach an internal temperature of 165°F.
  5. Remove the patties from the grill and cover with foil. Let rest for 3-5 minutes to allow juices to redistribute.
  6. Toast the hamburger buns on the grill. Assemble each burger with a patty, guacamole, an extra slice of cheese, tomato slices, and crisp lettuce.
