  • 1 cup Water At room temperature
  • 2 tablespoons Sugar Optional
For the Peach Filling
  • 6 pieces Fresh Peaches Ripe but firm
For Dusting
  • 1 cup Cornstarch Can also use potato starch

Method
 

Step-by-Step Instructions
  1. In a mixing bowl, combine sweet rice flour with room temperature water and sugar if desired. Stir until smooth.
  2. Transfer the mochi batter to a steam-safe dish and steam for about 20-30 minutes until translucent.
  3. Carefully remove the dish from the steamer and let the mochi dough cool for 15-20 minutes.
  4. Dust your hands and work surface with cornstarch, divide mochi dough, and wrap each around a peach.
  5. Place the wrapped mochi in the refrigerator for at least 1 hour to firm up.
